Equipment We Use
GE Complete System

As a dealer of GE Security products, Point Security offers state-of-the-art equipment and technology to deliver the fastest alarm response and service-call support available. In today's world, it's absolutely vital to take positive steps to ensure the safety of your family and property. While planning your wireless home security system there are a few key points you should keep in mind. By placing the proper sensors in the proper locations, you increase your home security, while keeping the overall cost down.

Wireless security systems use a RF (Radio Frequency) to communicate between the sensors, and the main controller. Higher quality systems such as the GE Simon use a digital encryption code, to ensure no one can duplicate the signal. Most systems feature a 300' to 600' range between the sensor, and main control unit.

Simon XT Control Panel With 2-Way Voice

Simon XT is a cost-effective security system that offers up to 40 zones of burglary and fire protection, and which complies with SIA False Alarm Standards. With a built-in display touchpad and a status speaker that provides visual and voice messages for feedback, Simon XT is well suited for houses, apartments, and condominiums. Integrated two-way voice means central station operators can listen in and talk to the homeowner when a signal is received, reducing the risk of false alarms. This all-in-one design features a control panel, keypad, wireless receiver, siren and dialer. It also opens the lines of communication in the home, allowing family members to record and playback brief messages and reminders for each other.

Simon 3 Control Panel With 2-Way Voice

Simon 3 is a self-contained wireless security panel that offers up to 24 zones of intrusion and fire protection and that complies with SIA CP-01 False Alarm Standards. With a built-in touchpad, siren, and status speaker that provides voice messages for feedback, the panel is well suited for use in residential applications. Simon works with both Crystal and SAW Learn Mode sensors. Optional modules are available to control lights and appliances, heating and cooling systems, and communicate to a central monitoring station. The user can also arm or disarm the system and activate features using remote phone control.

Door/Window Contact Sensor

Door & Window sensors are the most common addition to any security system. These help protect anything that opens and closes - Which is typically the easiest access to a home by an intruder. Placing a contact on all entry doors is suggested. Placing sensors on non-ground level windows is something that should be considered also, but sometimes not necessary. The best layout will have to be decided by our professionals.

Wireless Glassbreak Detector

Glass break detectors work by detecting the sound frequency that is generated from breaking glass using Pattern Recognition Technology. Some also detect a change in pressure in the room at the same time, reducing false alarms. A glass break detector can have up to a 40 foot range. So, if you have a room with multiple windows, one sensor should protect them all.

Infrared Motion Sensors

Motion detectors are the 2nd most popular sensor addition to any home security system. A PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detector, senses the movement of heat across a room. Most PIR motion detectors have a 25' to 45' range at a 90' angle. The best placement for a motion detector, is in the corner of a room, this way the 90' angle will view directly down both walls, and out the 25' to 45' distance.

Wireless Smoke/Heat Detector

Adding a smoke detector to your security system is a good idea, to quickly dispatch the fire department so you can escape as soon as possible. If there is a fire, you can exit and not worry about having to call the fire department because your monitoring company will take care of it. If you are away from home, you will have the same feeling of security, because the home is monitored for fire 24/7.

Keyfob Remote

The DesignLine 4-Button Keyfob makes security systems easier to use than ever before. These small but powerful touchpads act like an electronic key to arm and disarm systems wirelessly, as well as activate police or auxiliary panic alarms and turn lights on or off from up to 500 feet away.

Personal Medical Pendant

Medical Pendants are water-resistant wireless devices used for activating police, medical, or auxiliary alarms throughout the premises. Pendants can be added to any wireless home security system (typically wireless) to be pressed at the time of emergency. Pendant has different adapters that allow the button to be worn as a pendant or watch, clipped to a belt or purse, or mounted to the wall.

Cellular Radio Module

Alarm and non-alarm events like door openings/closings, motion activity, power failures, system arming and disarming, etc. can be reported to you immediately via email and text-message, based on your customized notification settings. The Cellular Radio Module transmits this data wirelessly (via the digital GSM network) to the operations center. A Cellular Radio Module can be added to any system as a backup to make sure severed phone lines do not interfere with your system's call for help.

Yard Sign

A simple home security sign being displayed outside your home will make an intruder think twice about choosing your home to break into. Studies have been done that show homes with signs are less likely to be broken into, which means your family, personal belongings, and even your home itself is more protected.
